Google employee Danny Sullivan announced the release of a new two-minute video, “How Ads Appear in Google Search.” In it, Google explains why and when ads appear in search, and how they are tagged.

If you search on Google for information on where companies may offer related services or products, you will most likely come across advertisements. This could be an advertisement for a florist down the street, your favorite non-profit organization, or a large retailer. If there are no useful ads for your search, you won't see them. Google's main goal is to provide you with relevant information that will help you find exactly what you are looking for.
