What are SEO articles compared to other types of written content?

SEO articles are written primarily to increase the visibility of your business on Google for important keywords. There are certain rules to follow when writing SEO content that can increase your chances of being the best.

When writing an SEO article, it's best to start with decent keyword research. Find out what phrases and search queries people are using on Google and record how many times they are used per month. This lets you know how competitive a keyword is.

Keywords with hundreds or thousands of searches per month are extremely competitive. You will face the daunting task of placing your content on the first page for these terms. On the other hand, longer or more specific keywords tend to generate fewer searches and are less competitive. They may also be more specific to your business and therefore attract a more appropriate readership.

You may be worried about the number of keywords in SEO articles. Some say you should use a keyword exactly X number of times. Others that it should be 2% to 3% of the total words in the article.

There is no evidence that this really matters. What matters is that your keyword appears in the title of the article, and then at some point in the first and last paragraphs, but even this is not a rigid rule.
